Install
curl -fsSL https://cli.bolte.sh | sh
~/.local/bin/mono --help
The bootstrap installs only ~/.local/bin/mono. Add ~/.local/bin to your PATH if necessary. No administrator privileges or Python runtime are required.

Optional dotfiles
mono dotfiles list
mono dotfiles install --features shell, git, dev --dry-run
mono dotfiles install --features shell, git, dev --yes
mono dotfiles status
mono dotfiles uninstall --dry-run
The terminal feature needs macOS. The dev and packages features only add optional assets; their commands work without selecting those features. Uninstalling dotfiles keeps the CLI installed.
Private packages
Get an API key from your Mono account. Store it as the private top-level api_key in ~/.mono/credentials (mode 0600), or enter it when prompted. Setup validates access before changing configuration. It places protected credential copies in .netrc and .pypirc; run setup again after rotating your key. Existing settings are preserved, and absent user-level files are symlinked to protected Mono-owned files.
mono packages install --dry-run
mono packages install
pip install logan
uv add logan
cargo add mono-config
twine upload -r mono dist/*
mono packages status
Project and environment overrides still take precedence. mono packages uninstall removes only Mono-owned settings. For automation, --output json emits versioned JSON Lines; --color auto|always|never controls terminal styling.
Updates
mono self status
mono self update
CLI releases are independent of macOS app releases. The release manifest lists the current platform artifacts and SHA-256 checksums.
